There are four USB ports USB ports 1/2 on the rear panel. Ports 3/ 4 have a separate root hub and have the LAN port mounted in the same USB ports 3/4 (with P4R533-N LAN) housing on the P4R533-N model. ○ ○ ○...
○ ○ ○ ○ LAN Port (P4R533-N Only) Function: Connecting a CAT 5 LAN cable to the system. Description: This is an RJ-45 connector for standard Cat 5 LAN cabling with RJ-45 jacks. The connector is for the optional onboard LAN controller. You can connect or dis- connect a LAN cable when the system is turned on.
Description: A 3-pin jumper. More Information: See Chapter 3 for configuration in- formation and the “Performance Optimization” section in Chapter 6. JP17 LAN Chip (P4R533-N only) Function: Enables or Disables the onboard LAN feature. JP17 Onboard LAN: Description: A 3-pin jumper.
Driver that supports the chipset and the Intel Appli- cation Accelerator that enhances system perfor- mance. • LAN driver software (for use with P4R533-N only) Driver software for the P4R533-N onboard LAN • Audio driver software Audio driver and utilities for the onboard CMedia audio chip.
Flash memory. JP16 has three setting options which allow the BIOS to be protected either by a firmware setting in the “IWILL Smart Setting” section of the CMOS Setup Utility or by the jumper’s hardware setting. The firmware setting op- tion is more convenient, so it is the default setting for this jumper.
