Alarm message on monitor screen
Cause
No cassette in VTR.
Rec inhibit mode is selected.
Record inhibit plug on the cassette is set to
inhibit.
Remote mode is selected.
Tape cannot be replayed.
Tape end has been detected.
Tape not editable.
Tape not recordable.
Tape not usable.
TC EXTERNAL is selected.
TCG REGEN mode is selected.
TCG RUN mode is set to REC RUN.

Load a cassette.
Set the REC INHI switch on the control panel to
OFF.
Set the REC/SAVE switch on the cassette to REC.
Set the REMOTE/LOCAL switch on the control
panel to LOCAL.
Use a tape recorded in 525/60 format. (For DSR-
70A)
Use a tape recorded in 625/50 format. (For DSR-
70AP)
Use a new cleaning tape.
Use a tape recorded in DVCAM format.
Use a tape recorded in 525/60 format. (For DSR-
70A)
Use a tape recorded in 625/50 format. (For DSR-
70AP)
Use a DVCAM/DV ME tape.
Use DVCAM/DV/DVCPRO (25M) tape.
Set the TC INT/EXT switch on the contol panel to
INT.
Set the sub LCD menu item PRESET/REGEN to
PRESET.
Set the sub LCD menu item F-RUN/R-RUN to F-
RUN.
