COMPONENT SERVICABILITY
1. Next remove the recess trim using a putty knife insert
the blade behind the trim at the bottom left corner and pry
it from the recess housing along the bottom. Then with
the fingertips, pull the trim at the sides to disengage the
pins from the retainers and lift the trim off.
2. Remove the screws at the perimeter of the recess
housing (10 screws).
3. Gently pull the recess assembly at the top until it is out
of the opening in the door. (the wiring harness above, the
recess, and the water tubing below, will prevent complete
removal).
To replace the recess module:
1. Position the module in the opening, beginning at the
bottom and right side.
2. Postion the water tubing behind the recess housing and
into the groove cut in the foam insulation.
3. Dress the wiring harness at the upper left side to
prevent pinching of the wires. Place the recess module
into opening.
4. Make final placement of recess module, reinstall the
screws around the perimeter and reinstall the recess trim
and graphic panel.
5. Using the instructions on the previous page (in reverse)
replace the ice chute ring from inside the freezer door and
locate correctly by engaging to recess module.
To reinstall the recess trim, first twist the retainers at the
sides of therecess housing so that the reatiner barbs will
grip the pins of the trim in the new location. Then
position the tabs along the top edge of the trim over the
lop of the recess housing. While holding the trim in
position, engage the pins into the retainers and press the
trim firmly to seat the pins and tabs along the bottom.
CHILLED WATER RESERVOIR
The chilled water reservoir is located in the lower left rear
of the fresh food compartment. It holds approximately 32
oz. of water for dispensing. The connection to the water
line is made using standard plastic unions, and nuts.
To remove reservoir:
1. Disconnect the union behind the base grille and free
the tubing from the clips under the cabinet.
2. Disconnect the tubing from the water valve.
3. Remove two screws to free the reservoir from the
cabinet.
4. Reverse producedure to reinstall.
NOTE: The water line runs through the hinges. A
suggestion of using rounded insert fitted to the end of
the flexible water tube may be helpful in threading it
through the hinges and door thimbles without it
hanging up. If a rounded insert is not available,
triming the water line to a point will work.
