COMPONENT SERVICABILITY
AIR CONTROL
RECESSED OPENING AND DISPENSER
The amount of air directed to the freezer and the fresh
food compartment is controlled by the air shutter, located
at the rear of the control housing assembly. It can be
adjusted by the air damper control located at the front of
the control housing assembly. (Fig.1)
COLD CONTROL
Cold control is located in the control housing assembly.
To remove:
1. Remove eight screws as show in illustration. (Fig.1)
2. Disconnect harness connections.
3. Locate and remove one Phillips head screw from
control.
4. Remove control out from underneath alignment boss.
5. To reassemble, reverse process using care to align
shaft with knob. Check when reinstalled.
NOTE: Use care when reinstalling to align the capillary
tube correctly. Make sure the gasket is in the proper
position. (Fig.3) This models senses the temperature
below the air shutter. The capillary tube should be placed
into the notches in the housing under the EPS insert.
Once properly inserted it should be retained by two clips.

LIGHT SHIELD
Light covers/shields are removed by holding cover
and lightly pressing in while pulling out on shield.
Reinstall by reversing procedure.
