Water pump assembly "1"

TIP
Align the slit "a" on the impeller shaft with the

projection "b" on the oil pump shaft.
Lubricate the O-ring with a thin coat of lithi-
G
um-soap-based grease.
Water pump assembly bolt
10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)
LOCTITE®
2. Install:
O-ring
New
G
Radiator outlet "1"
G
O-rings
New
G
Water pump outlet hose "2"
G
Copper washer
New
G
TIP
Install the radiator outlet hose with white "a"
mark positioned outside.
3. Fill:
Cooling system
G
(with the specified amount of the recom-
mended coolant)
Refer to "CHANGING THE COOLANT" on
page 3-26.
4. Check:
Cooling system
G
Leaks → Repair or replace the faulty part.
5. Measure:
Radiator cap opening pressure
G
Below the specified pressure → Replace the
radiator cap.
Refer to "CHECKING THE RADIATOR" on
page 6-3.
