Remove the protective film from both chain-
stays as well as the tape at the drop-out, if ap-
plicable. It is recommended that you remove
the protective material in general by hand. If
that is not possible, it is best to use scissors,
and if it is really necessary, use a box cutter.
The brakes have been optimised aerodynami-
cally and therefore do not have a release le-
ver. The brakes cannot be opened.

If a tyre cannot be pushed through the brake
pads without using considerable force, then
let most of the air out of the tyre.
Lay the chain on the smallest sprocket and
guide the rear wheel from behind into the
drop-outs of the frame.

Tighten up the counternut of the quick-re-
lease until the quick-release lever builds up
force when closed.
Close the quick-release and verify that the
wheel is securely fixed. Read the chapter
"How to use the quick-release" beforehand.
Ensure that the wheel is centred between the
rear stays and the chainstays and is seated
correctly in the drop-outs.
Inflate the tyre to the maximum pressure indi-
cated on the side of the tyre.
Check whether the brake pads hit
the braking surfaces of the rims
with their entire surface.

Front wheel mounting
Take the front wheel and take off both protec-
tive caps from the front wheel axle.
Take the quick-release for the front wheel out
of the small parts box. Release the counternut
and remove one of the springs from the quick-
release.
Insert the quick-release into the hollow front
wheel axle. Make sure there is one spring on
either side of the hub.
When mounting the springs on either side
of the quick-release, make sure their small-
diameter ends face the hub.
