To record your own Answer
and Record outgoing
message
You can record your own
Answer and Record outgoing
message to use instead of the
pre-recorded message already
available. Your outgoing
message can be up to 3 minutes
long. You can reinstate the
pre-recorded outgoing message
later if you wish to, see page 44.
Pick up the handset.
Press the UP or DOWN button
until the display shows Answer
Settings .
OK
Press the OK option button.
Press the UP or DOWN
button until the display shows
Outgoing Message .
Press the OK option button.
OK
The display will show Answer
and Record .
Press the OK option button.
OK
The display will show Outgoing
Message , and will play your
Answer and Record message
immediately via your handset.

Press the NEW option button.

You will hear, "Please speak
after the tone. To end recording,
press #".
After the tone, speak your
outgoing message into the
handset. Press the
when you have finished.
Throughout recording r will
flash on the base unit display.
The prompt will announce,
"Your outgoing message is",
and then play your message.
Note
Recording, checking or playing your
outgoing message does not set it as the
current outgoing message to be played
when your answering machine takes a
call, you will need to set the answer
mode, see page 43.
