You will then receive a warning tone and/or a message
on the display when you accept a call, accept a consul-
tation call or are connected to a conference and the con-
nection to a station is unencrypted.
Locking the telephone to prevent
unauthorized use
You can prevent certain unauthorized functions being
enabled on your phone during your absence. For ex-
ample dialing external numbers and the access to your
mailbox can be prohibited. Ask your service personnel
which functions are locked.
Prerequisite: You have received a corresponding code
number from the relevant service personnel.

Select and confirm the option shown.

Enter the code number. If your entry is correct, "Carried
out" is displayed.
When the phone is locked, a special dial tone
sounds when the handset is lifted. Within the
HiPath 4000 system, users can make calls as
normal.
