Scanning With an Area Imager

CK3 Mobile Computer User's Manual
Good Read LED
Scan button
When the CK3 successfully reads a bar code label, you hear a high
beep and the green Good Read LED turns on briefly.
4 Release the Scan button or trigger.
Your CK3 may come with one of two types of area imagers:
Extended range area imager
Near-far range area imager
Both area imagers are equipped with a laser pointer and framer to
help you aim at bar codes, allow you to scan 2D bar code symbologies,
and support omni-directional (360°) scanning. Omnidirectional
scanning lets you position the CK3 in any orientation to scan a bar
code label.

Scanning With the Extended Range Area Imager

1 Press
to turn on the CK3.
2 Point the scanner window at the bar code label, and hold the CK3
steady a few inches from the label.
