[UTILITY] - Utility Functions

After entering System mode, turn the Encoder to select [UTILITY], then press the Encoder to
enter the Utility functions settings mode. Turn the Encoder to scroll through the following
Utility functions. Press the Encoder to select and set:
[KNOBS] – Select how Knobs work (NORMAL, CATCHUP, LOCKED)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn the Encoder to select CATCHUP or lock the knobs.
In NORMAL mode, the Parameter Control Knobs are always active. With CATCHUP selected,
the Parameter Control Knobs must be turned to the position which corresponds to their
current parameter value before they become active. See p.31 for more info on CATCHUP.
The knobs can also be LOCKED, to prevent inadvertent changes to your sound.
Press the Middle Footswitch once to back-up one level to UTILITY menu.
Press the Middle Footswitch twice to go to top level System menu.
[SPILL] – SpillOver Enable (ON, OFF)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn the Encoder to set SpillOver ON or OFF.
With Spillover OFF, changing Presets results in an abrupt change in the type of echoes. With
SpillOver ON, the lingering echoes of one Preset will fade into the echoes of the next Preset.
The SpillOver feature is a good way to provide smooth transitions when switching between
Presets.
Press the Middle Footswitch once to back-up one level to UTILITY menu.
Press the Middle Footswitch twice to go to top level System menu.
[BANKS] – Select the Number of Active Preset Banks (1-10)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn Encoder to set the total number (from 1 to 10) of Preset
Banks that are currently active. Only Presets saved in active Banks are available for loading
using the Footswitches. All Presets may still be loaded using MIDI program change.
Press the Middle Footswitch once to back-up one level to UTILITY menu.
Press the Middle Footswitch twice to go to top level System menu.
[PDLOCK] – Enable Expression Pedal Lock (ON, OFF)
Press the Encoder to select. Turn the Encoder to set Pedal Lock ON or OFF.
With Pedal Lock OFF, the Expression Pedal can be programmed live at any time. With Pedal
Lock ON, Expression Pedal programming is disabled and all Expression Pedal settings are
locked.
The Pedal Lock feature is a good way to ensure that Expression Pedal settings do not change.
