Processor

The magicolor 2590MF use the power of the host computer's operating
system for processing documents prior to printing. The controller's ASIC
provides better performance than comparable processors because most
image operations are executed in the hardware rather than with multiple,
slower software commands.

Memory

160 MB SDRAM
(128 MB on main controller, 32 MB on network controller)
This RAM is sufficient for all simplex and duplex printing and copying,
camera direct photo printing, and scanning at all supported resolutions.
Additional memory is not required because the magicolor 2590MF uses
a highly efficient compression rate, and the embedded memory has
been carefully synchronized with the internal processor.
