Chapter 3. Troubleshooting

This chapter provides troubleshooting hints and tips to assist you if you experience any problems with the
keyboard.
Problem: The smart card reader does not work correctly.
Solution: Ensure that the hotkey driver and the smart-card-reader driver are installed correctly. Then, check
the smart card status LED by referring to the following table.

Note: Contact your Lenovo service representative if the problem persists.
Problem: The ThinkVantage button does not work correctly.
Solution: Ensure that one of the following programs is installed on your computer, or the Windows system
information window will be displayed when you press the ThinkVantage button:
• Lenovo Device Experience
• Lenovo SimpleTap
• Lenovo Solution Center
• Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox
• ThinkVantage Productivity Center
Problem: I press a key once, but the computer responds as if I pressed the key twice.
Solution: You might need to change your keyboard repeat delay or repeat rate settings.
