    Chapter 2. Installation This chapter provides instructions on how to install the Lenovo USB Smartcard Keyboard. Installing the drivers The keyboard can be used on computers that have a Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 operating system installed. Before using the keyboard, install the following drivers on the computer: •...

    4. In the Uninstall window, click Uninstall. 5. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the operation. 6. In the Add or Remove Programs window, select Lenovo Keyboard Smartcard Reader, and then click Remove. 7. In the Uninstall window, click Uninstall.

    Problem: The smart card reader does not work correctly. Solution: Verify if the Lenovo USB Smartcard Keyboard hotkey driver and the smart card reader driver are correctly installed. Then, check the status of the smart card status LED by referring to the following table.
