Gear shift, drive

Malfunction
Gears do not change or do not
change smoothly
Drive blocks during or after gear
shifting
Unusual noise such as cracking,
loud grinding and/or banging
Irregular resistance during the
pedal movements

Possible cause(s)
Shift lever not actuated correctly
Shift mechanism maladjusted
·
In the case of steep
inclinations, excessive
pressure on the pedal
·
and/or pedalling movement
too slow
Chain jamming
Drive/gearing components
damaged
Drive/gearing components
damaged
GHOST EPAC
Remedy
Actuate the lever again
Contact your specialist bicycle
dealer.
Repeat the gear shifting
procedure on flat terrain.
Changing gear while stationary:
·
Lift the rear wheel.
·
Turn the crank in the drive
direction until the desired gear
is engaged.
·
Leave the EPAC where it is.
·
Turn off the standby mode in
accordance with section 10.3,
Switching off the electric drive
·
Actuate the gear lever in the
opposite direction.
·
Lift the rear wheel.
·
If this is possible without
force:
turn the crank in the opposite
direction to the drive.
NOTE:
Under no circumstances should
you apply force if the crank
cannot be easily turned .
You should contact your
specialist workshop for bicycles
immediately.
Contact your specialist bicycle
dealer immediately.
