If your EPAC has been retrofitted with a hub dynamo:
release the plug-in connection between the dynamo and cables.
In the case of clamping with the quick-release axle (E-Hybrid Street and Trail 4000):
·
Open the quick-release axle
See section 8.4.1, Opening and closing the quick-release axle on the front wheel.
·
Unscrew the lock nut until it is just still on the axle.
In the case of clamping with the thru axle (E-Hybrid Trail 9000):
·
Open the quick-release lever.
See section 8.4.2, Opening and closing the thru axle.
·
Turn the thru axle in an anticlockwise direction until it is released from the thread in
the fork rod and then pull the axle completely out of the hub.
Pick up your EPAC with the handlebars and pull the front wheel out of the fork ends of
the front-wheel fork.
Insert the enclosed transport lock for your disc brake between the brake pistons.
NOTE:
Under no circumstances may the hydraulic brakes be operated after the wheel has been
removed.
You should use the enclosed transport locks. Remove these before re-installing the front
wheel.
Place your EPAC carefully on the ground with the fork ends.
