NOTE:
The opening and closing procedure for the thru axle is the same as that for opening and closing the quick-
release axle on the front wheel, see section 8.4.1. Opening and closing the quick-release axle on the front
wheel.
The lever of the quick-release axle is closed by turning the quick-release axle itself.

Opening and closing the quick-release axle on the saddle post clamp

NOTE:
The opening and closing procedure for the quick-release axle on the saddle post clamp is the same as that
for opening and closing the quick-release axle on the front wheel, see section 8.4.1. Opening and closing the
quick-release axle on the front wheel.
· The quick-release lever of the quick-release axle is closed by turning the quick-release axle itself.
· To open and close it you should only operate the quick-release lever. You do not have to further loosen or
completely release the entire axle in order to dismantle the saddle post.
· You should only turn the knurled nut if the quick-release lever can be moved too easily or only with
difficulty.
· Before closing the quick-release lever, ensure that the clamp is flush and in the correct position on the
seat tube.
