Riding the EPAC

WARNING Danger from falls and accidents
With your EPAC you can reach high speeds to which you may not be accustomed.
·
You should only use this EPAC if you can safely ride at high speeds and brake from such speeds.
·
Always wear a helmet when riding your bike.
·
Ride with foresight and defensively.
·
Be ready to brake at all times.
·
Do not ride after consuming alcohol.
·
Ride in such a way that you have your EPAC under control at all times and can react correctly in
the event of sudden dangerous situations.
·
When wet, the brakes may not be as effective. The braking distance becomes longer.
·
When riding, wear only suitable clothing that does not hinder the operation of the EPAC or your
sight.
·
Always wear tight-fitting legwear when riding. Loose clothing can become tangled in the EPAC
and lead to serious falls.
·
In the dark and with poor visibility, wear clothing with reflective stripes and switch on your lights.
·
Note that some items of clothing and/or the use of a backpack can hinder your mobility.
WARNING Danger from falls and accidents if the EPAC starts up unexpectedly
If you place your foot on the pedal and move the wheels slightly, the electric drive will start up. There
is a danger that you will move off unintentionally. This is particularly dangerous at traffic lights, level
crossings and on the edge of slopes, as well as at roads and paths where you do not have priority.
·
You should only put your foot on the pedal when you actually want to move off.
·
Operate both of the brakes immediately beforehand and only release them when you actually
want to move off.
WARNING Danger from falls and accidents resulting from unexpected after-running
In the case of an incorrect engine management system your EPAC may suffer from after-running.
Ride your EPAC carefully, comply with the servicing intervals and contact your specialist workshop
immediately in the case of faults.
