Switch off the operating module
and then pull out the main fuse
before starting work on the elec-
trical equipment.
Never touch the battery poles with
tools, cable ends or other metal
objects when working on the drive
batteries.

Sparking due to a short-circuit of
the battery poles can cause the
batteries to explode!

Battery acid is very caustic! Skin
and eyes can be injured, clothing
and fl ooring can be damaged.
Note:
Immediately wash all skin areas or
body parts that have come in con-
tact with acid under running water
for a lengthy period of time. Then
see a doctor. Immediately remove
clothing wetted with acid. Wash
clothing with soapsuds and then
rinse with plenty of water.
Wash your hands after working on
drive batteries.

Battery instructions for storage

Before storage, for example before a
winter pause, the following instruc-
tions are to be observed to preserve
the drive batteries:
Completely charge the drive bat-
teries.
Switch off the operating module.
Pull the mains fuse and insert it in
reverse position. – This prevents
the fuse being lost.
First loosen and remove the battery
clamp or pull the battery plug.
Battery instruction during extend-
ed pauses of use
To increase the life cycle the drive bat-
teries are also to be charged when not
fully used or during pauses in use (re-
taining charge). – Therefore observe
the following information:
Connect the drive batteries with
the charger at least once a month
for 16 hours.
