Clean area around dipstick. Remove dipstick and wipe oil off. Reinsert the
dipstick and push it all the way down into the tube. Remove the dipstick
and read the oil level.
e)
If the oil level is low, wipe off the area around the oil fill cap, remove cap
and fill to the "FULL" mark on the dipstick. Use oil as specified in Engine
Owner's Manual. DO NOT overfill.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate the engine with the oil level below the
"LOW" (or "ADD") mark on the dipstick, or over the "FULL" mark.
Check engine coolant level (Kawasaki Liquid-cooled units only)
Service Interval: Daily

Stop engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Make sure unit is on a
level surface.
b)
Tilt seat up and tilt hood forward to gain access to the cooling area.
c)
Check with engine cold.
d)
View coolant level in overflow bottle on the left side of the engine. Coolant
level should be at the indicator line on the overflow bottle.
e)
If the coolant level is low, remove the cap to the overflow bottle and fill to
the indicator line. Use coolant specified in Section 2.5.2.
NOTE: Kawasaki 27 HP Liquid-cooled units should only be filled with Dex-Cool©
extended life coolant, which can be identified by its orange color.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
♦ Engine coolant is hot and pressurized.
♦ Radiator and surrounding parts are hot.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
♦ Spray or steam from hot, pressurized liquid in the
engine cooling system and touching a hot radiator may
cause severe burns.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
♦ Allow the engine to cool completely before removing
the radiator cap or servicing any component of the
cooling system.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
♦ Engine coolant is toxic.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
♦ Swallowing coolant can cause poisoning.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
♦ Do not swallow
♦ Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Check battery charge:
Service Interval: Monthly
Allowing batteries to stand for an extended period of time without recharging
them will result in reduced performance and service life. To preserve optimum
battery performance and life, recharge batteries in storage when the open
circuit voltage drops to 12.4 volts.
Note: To prevent damage due to freezing, battery should be fully charged
before putting away for winter storage.
