Section 1: Assembly and Set-Up

Rubber Safety Guards (Optional)

!
DANGER
Rotary Cutters have the ability to discharge objects at high
speeds; therefore, the use of front and rear safety guards is
strongly recommended when cutting along highways or in
areas where people may be present.
!
WARNING
Not all objects will be stopped by safety guards. Therefore, use
extreme caution when cutting in areas where people may be
present. It is best to operate the cutter when no one is nearby.
Stop blade rotation if someone is within several hundred feet.
NOTE: Do not tighten hardware until assemblies
are complete. Refer to "Torque Values Chart" on
page 41.
Front Rubber Guards
RCR3510 & RCRM3510
Refer to Figure 1-17:
Install each front rubber guard (#1) and (#2) with 1/2" -13
x 3 1/2" long carriage bolts (#3), and flange nuts (#4).
Front Rubber Guards
RCR3596 & RCRM3596
Refer to Figure 1-18:
Install both front rubber guards (#1) with 1/2" -13 x 2 3/4"
long carriage bolts (#2), and flange nuts (#3).

Rear Rubber Guard

Refer to Figure 1-19:
Install the rear rubber guard (#1) and rear guard strap
(#2) as shown in Figure 1-19, with 1/2" -13 x 1 1/2" long
carriage bolts (#3), and 1/2" flange nuts (#4).
