Remove the cross-piece
► If a type 2 board is installed and it is secured to the cross-piece, remove the latter
(see
"Remove and install type 2 boards", Page
69).
► Disconnect any cables which interfere and prevent the cross-piece from being raised.
► Remove the hood of the second CPU.
► Press the catch back (1) , pull it upwards out of the guide lugs and lift it (2).

► Press on the lever (3) so that the catch releases the cross-piece.
► Carefully fold the cross-piece up (4), making sure not to break any fan cables.
► Detach the fan cables and remove the cross-piece.
