Connection 3.1. Cabling Twisted-pair segment can be use unshielded twisted pair (UTP) or shielded twisted pair (STP) cabling. The cable must comply with the IEEE 802.3u 100Base TX standard for Category 5. The cable between the converter and the link partner (switch, hub, workstation, etc.) must be less than 100 meters (328 ft.) long. -
