Update remote

After you enter your Device and Activity information, the software saves
all data. For the changes to take effect, the new data has to be transferred
to your Harmony 785. For this, go to the Harmony Remote Software and
click on the Update Remote button (top right) and follow the online
instructions.

The Update Remote button is available while you are on your home
page or on one of the Activities, Devices or Remote Settings screen.

To transfer the data from the Harmony Remote Software to the re-
mote, your Harmony 785 has to be connected to your computer via
the USB cable (refer to section 'Connecting the Harmony 785 to your
computer' on page 19). Otherwise the Harmony Remote Software
will ask you to plug in the cable.

In case of problems occurring during the update procedure, please
use the Tip Center of each screen at first to find a solution.
After the software updated your remote, you are ready to test your setup.
For specific details on testing your setup, refer to section 'Testing the
remote setup' on page 32.

Testing the remote setup

Every time you update your Harmony 785, you should test your remote to
ensure it is working the way you expect. This section gives you informa-
tion you need to test your remote. It also has some suggestions on what to
check while you are testing your setup. If you run into specific issues
while testing your remote, refer to section 'Getting help with your Har-
mony 785' on page 41 of this manual for suggestions and possible fixes
for your problems.
The process of testing your Harmony 785 is straightforward. It involves
simply trying the Activities you use most often and then using the on-
remote help to correct any issues.
