NOTE
This section explains the operating procedures for CD-ROM/CD-R/
CD-RW discs that have been finalized as data CDs. For CDs that have
been finalized as music CDs, see "CD playback" (vpage 13).

SOURCE
Press to switch the source to CD.

Press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit to open the disc
holder and insert the disc.

Hold down SEL. (-MP3 DISC SEARCH MODE).

SEL.
Turn to select "FileFolder".

Turn to select the folder that contains the track
you want to play.

Press SEL.
The folder names or track names within the folder are shown
in the display.

Turn SEL. to select the track you want to play.
BACK
• Press to return to the previous folder.

The cue standby mode is set at the start of the selected tracks.

n Ejecting CDs
Press OPEN/CLOSE on the unit to open the disc holder.
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
NOTE
Be sure the CD is paused before ejecting. If
during CD playback, the CD will not be ejected.
n If the CD cannot be ejected
If the CD is not ejected due to a malfunction in the unit even when
OPEN/CLOSE
is pressed, it can be ejected using other buttons.
OPEN/CLOSE
Hold down for the disc holder 1 or 2, and
press POWER ON/OFF .
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
n Selecting the file
There are three methods for selecting files.
File search mode
To search a file directly from among all of those recorded in a disc.
Folder search mode
To specify the layer to select a folder or file from among all of those
recorded in a disc.
File name search mode
To sort the files in alphabetical order to select from among all of
those recorded in a disc.
n Selecting files in file search mode
