The Cintiq driver is pre-installed on your Cintiq. When you are ready to begin using it, complete the
following steps.
1. For the first use of your Cintiq, connect it to a power source using the power cable and AC adapter. See

2. Press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds to turn on your Cintiq. Windows 8 will launch.
3. Make sure that you have wifi and Internet access. Wifi network status is displayed in the status bar at
the bottom right of the Windows standard desktop, and at the bottom left of the Windows 8 Start
screen when you swipe in from the right side of the screen.
4. Follow the on-screen steps for configuring Windows 8.
5. When Windows 8 configuration is complete, launch the Wacom Desktop Center:
•
From the standard desktop, click the Wacom Desktop Center icon in the lower left task bar.
•
On the Windows 8 Start screen, click the Wacom Desktop Center tile.
6. Wacom recommends that you click Updates in the Wacom Desktop Center to check for updates for the
Cintiq driver and the BIOS.
