EDID management

This menu allows to select which EDID settings are provided to your host system by your
transmitter and receiver units. Your Avio product supports two (2) EDID modes:
– Uses the EDID settings of the monitor on the connector. While using this mode,
Active
the EDID settings of the monitor connected to your receiver unit are used first. If no
monitor is detected on your receiver unit (for example, your monitor or optical cable is
disconnected), the settings of the monitor connected to your transmitter unit are used.
Disconnecting your optical cable has the same effect as disconnecting the monitors on
your receiver unit.
To manually reset EDID management to use this mode, press and hold the Up (
button, then press the [Reset] button with the tip of a paperclip.
– Uses the EDID settings for a selected resolution and refresh rate, or uses the
Fixed
EDID settings from a monitor connected to your transmitter or receiver unit. The EDID
settings are stored on your transmitter unit. These settings are used until you update
them or until you change the EDID mode.
Disconnecting your optical cable has no effect as the EDID settings for your monitors are
always the settings saved on your transmitter unit.
