Common Interface for Conditional Access

The AVerTV device with CI/CA enables you to watch DVB-S scrambled pay channels when you have a
subscription SmartCard and an appropriate CAM (Conditional Access Module). How many scrambled
channels you can watch will vary depending on the SmartCard you purchase.

Install the AVerTV device, SmartCard and
CAM.

Configure DVB-S TV signal. (Please refer to
Chapter 4.2)

If CAM is connected, when users go to the TV
page and choose DVB-S system, the
Initializing CI dialog will appear and begin the
process of Initializing CI.

want to close the dialog. If you don't click OK
button, the Initializing CI will continue
anyway and the dialog will disappear when
Initializing CI is done.

After scanning channels, the Common
Interface dialog may appear. (The messages
included in the Common Interface dialog will
vary depending on the CAM and SmartCard
