Introduction Thank you for purchasing a StarTech.com Converge A/V Mini VGA over Cat5 UTP Extender and Receiver. Providing a high resolution point to point digital signage solution, the extender sends the video signal to a remote monitor / display or projector over standard 4 pair CAT5e UTP cable, using RJ45 connectors and supports transmission distances of up to 90m (275ft). -

NOTE: If the display has a VGA input that makes directly attaching the Receiver unit difficult, use an appropriate length VGA extension cable (i.e. StarTech.com ID: MXT101HQ3). 2. If using audio, connect the 3.5mm audio cable to the display’s audio input, or separate audio receiver/speaker system. -

2. The UTP cable should not pass through any networking equipment, such as routers, switches, hubs, etc. 3. Attach one end of the Cat5 cable to the transmitter of the St121UTPMINI and the other end to the receiver. The RJ45 Link LED on both units should light up to indicate the connection is detected. -
