Basic remote control operations for other components
Infrared ray system part
o
Press the desired key of the remote control unit.
Remote control

[LEARN
f1) Press the LEARN key.
o
This remote control is ready to receive the remote control code from
the other source.

Press any of the REMOTE MODE (DVD, CD. CBL, DSS/SAT. CBLI
SAT. VCR, TV. OTHERS) keys to select the input of the desired
remote control unit.
o
Point the infrared ray system part of another remote control unit
to the remote sensor of the remote control unit.

KENWOOD audio components with system control turn on and off
automatically with the receiver via the system control connections.

Use the INPUT SELECTOR keys to select the component you
desire.
• Pressing the INPUT SELECTOR keys also changes the input selector
on the receiver
• When you operate your registered DVD player, CDjllayer, Cable
tuner, DSS/SAT receiver, VCR or TV, go to step
fliI .
• When you operate the CD player, Cassette deck, MD player. or
Tuner with system control connection, go to step
EJ.

Press the SOURCE 6 key.
• To return to the receiver operation mode, press the RECEIVER key

Press the operation keys you desire.
41) From the remote control unit of the other source, press the key
that you want to store.

The remote control code is sent to the remote control unit
o
"OK" appears when finished
The remote control mode remains at the selected input. If you
wish to operate another component, repeat step Ell or
EJ.
Note
Be sure to point the remote control at the remote sensor on the
receiver when you wantto operate KENWOOD components connected
by system control cords. Otherwise, point the remote control at the
component you want to operate

When the appropriate code is not properly stored. "AGAI
~J"
will be
displayed. Repeat from step f1) onwards
Storing the remote control code of the other

The remote control unit can store the remote control code of the other
components and you can operate the other components from the remote
control unit. The remote control code is stored on the key or memory of
the remote control unit.
o
If the code cannot be stored after a few attempts, "ERROR" will
appear Repeat from step f1) onwards
o
If LEARN mode's storage is full, "FULL" appears on the display.
(1) The remote control code is stored on the key of this remote
control unit.

Press the LEARN key again to exit the learning mode.

You can store the remote control code to the key as shown below.
