Activating/deactivating
auto answer
If you activate this function, when you
receive a call you can simply lift the handset
out of the base/charger without having to
press the talk key c.

Press the display key (³= on).
Changing the speaker/
earpiece volume
You can set the volume for speaker mode
and earpiece mode to five different levels.
In idle status:

Open menu Handset Volume.

Set the earpiece volume.

Scroll to the line Speaker:.
r
Set the speaker volume.

Press the display key if neces-
sary to save the setting perma-
nently.
Setting the volume during a call:
t
Press the control key.
r
Select the volume.
The setting will automatically be saved after
approximately 3 seconds or press the display

If t is assigned to another function, e.g.,
call swap (¢ page 31):

Open the menu.

Select and press
Configure the setting (see above).

You can also set the call volume using
the menu (¢ page 30).

Changing ringtones

u Volume:
You can choose between five volumes (1–
5; e.g., volume 3 = ˆ) and the "cre-
scendo" ringtone (6; volume increases
with each ring = ‡).
u Ringtones:
You can select from a list of pre-loaded
ringtones and melodies.
You can set different ringtones for the fol-
lowing functions:
u For internal calls
u For every receive MSN
Setting the volume/melody
During setup (¢ page 63), each receive MSN
is automatically assigned a ringer. You can
change this assignment.
In idle status:

Setting the volume/melody for
internal calls and anniversaries.

Scroll to the next line.

Set the volume for external calls

q Select MSN and set a mel-
ody for each individual MSN.

Press the display key to save the
setting.
Additionally for external calls:
You can specify a time period when you do
not want the telephone to ring, e.g., during
the night.

If the time control is activated:
Suspend ring. from:
