Recording Motion Pictures
Setting the output method of the HDMI connection
>
[Motion Picture] > [HDMI Rec Output]
MENU
Sets the picture quality for the HDMI output.
[4:2:2 8bit]:
Allows you to record the image being output through the HDMI connection
as a motion picture. This option is ideal for monitoring the image on the
external monitor while recording it.
[4:2:2 10bit]:
Allows you to output the image through the HDMI connection in high picture
[Bit Mode]
quality. This option is ideal for saving the image on the external device.
Shows or hides the displays of information.
[ON]:
Outputs the displays on the camera as they are.
[OFF]:
[Info Display]
Outputs only the image.
Switches the picture quality according to the connected device.
[AUTO]:
When the motion picture size is set to [4K] or [C4K] in [Rec Quality] and the
connected device is not responding, the HDMI output picture quality
automatically switches to [1080p].
[1080p]:
[4K Down
When the motion picture size is set to [4K] or [C4K] in [Rec Quality], the

HDMI output picture quality switches to [1080p].
[OFF]:
Outputs the image through the HDMI connection with the picture quality set
in [Rec Quality].
If [4K Down Convert] works when the motion picture size is set to [4K] or [C4K] in [Rec Quality]
and the image is output through the HDMI connection, it may take longer than usual to adjust
the focus with Auto Focus and the camera may respond slower to continuous focus
adjustment.
If you use the Wi-Fi function while using the HDMI output with [Bit Mode] set to [4:2:2 8bit], the
image will not be displayed on the camera's screen.
When you use the HDMI output during recording, the image may be displayed with a time lag.
You can select [4:2:2 10bit] only in Creative Video Mode.
If you output the image through the HDMI connection when [Bit Mode] is
set to [4:2:2 10bit], motion pictures cannot be recorded.
If you use the HDMI output with [Bit Mode] set to [4:2:2 10bit], the Wi-Fi
function will be disabled.
If you output the image through the HDMI connection when [Bit Mode] is
set to [4:2:2 10bit], this setting is fixed to [OFF].
When [OFF] is set, the image may not be displayed depending on the
connected device.
