Flash

The available flash range (approximation)
When you use certain lenses, light from the flash may be
blocked or fail to cover the lens field of view, causing dark
areas to appear in the resulting pictures.
The distance at which light from the flash is blocked by lens, and
the distance to which light from the flash is delivered vary
depending on the lens used.
When the interchangeable lens (H-HS12035) is used

The ranges are those of when the ISO sensitivity is set to [AUTO] and [ISO Limit Set]

Observe the following points. Not doing so may cause the camera to deform, discolor or
malfunction.
Do not bring objects too close to the flash.
Do not close the flash while it is firing.
When using a setting that uses a pre-flash, such as [Forced On/Red-Eye], do not close the
flash immediately after the camera emits a pre-flash.
It may take time to charge the flash if you repeatedly take pictures. You must wait a moment to
take the next picture while the flash icon is blinking red indicating the flash is charging. Take a
picture after the access indication disappears.
When you attach an external flash, it takes priority over the built-in flash. Refer to
external flash.
In the following cases, the flash is fixed to [Œ] (forced flash off).
