PRINTING MATERIALS
Below are our "stock" materials that we are using currently. By no means is this a finite list; there will be additions as our
customers' needs expand, and changes as we find better quality material at a competitive price.
Ultraflexx JetFlex FL
Also referred to as Normandy Pro (over 80" in length). It is a 13 ounce banner with a scrim backing, that is available in either
a gloss or matte finish (we stock and print on the matte). This material is ideal for outdoor applications, even though it will work
just as well indoors. The material is rated outdoors for up to 3 years. This is a perfect material for the Mimaki that provides
excellent ink adhesion and quick curing times. Mimaki has used this fabric to win the prestigious DPI Award two years in a
row at the annual SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) Digital Expo.
Herculite Bantex 13 oz. Blackout
Long known throughout the graphics industry as the standard all others are set against, this banner material was chosen for
those customers that wanted a durable banner with excellent print quality, but with a smooth appearance (as opposed to the
Ultraflexx). Herculite's Bantex blockout banner material is a 13 oz banner material. It is micro-textured for a smooth, highly
consistent surface. With the addition of a blockout layer in the middle of the material, the Bantex has the capability of being
printed on both sides. This is the ideal indoor banner material, as it provides excellent color clarity with very sharp images,
while being very smooth to offer a very crisp, clean presentation.
Sunbrella Inkjet 10
This is your standard Sunbrella awning fabric with a clear inkjet receptive topcoat applied to it, so we can run it through the
printer. The Sunbrella fabric is a 10 oz, textile fabric that carries the same outdoor rating as does its regular material (up to 3
years outdoors). The main difference with the Sunbrella fabric is that while it does have a wonderful print with a wide color
gamut, the colors will appear subdued. Also, the fabric is closer to an off-white color, so your whites will not be completely
spot-on with this fabric. For those customers looking for eye-popping color, they would do better with the Bantex or the
Ultraflexx. For the customer that wants a really sharp, classy looking banner (and they don't mind paying the extra cost), the
Sunbrella fabric would be an excellent choice.
Briteline Printable Rigid PVC
This is a 10mil PVC that is perfect for tradeshow booths and retractable banner stands. The material offers excellent color
adhesion and clarity. However, the thing that sets this material apart is that it will stay perfectly smooth and straight when
put on banner stands. For the customers that want clean lines for their display in addition to eye-popping color, this is the
choice for them.
Sihl TriSolv Paper
This is a moderately heavy opaque paper for those applications when a banner is not required. It provides excellent color, as
one would expect from a standard photograph quality paper. It is available in either a gloss or a satin finish.
Opti-Solve Vinyl
This is a 5 mil, calendared vinyl with an adhesive backing, ideal for applying to foamboard for tradeshow booths. It is available
in either a gloss or matte finish. Because it is a calendared material, it is not as pliable as a cast vinyl, and as such, can be
handled without a taped overlay. It has excellent ink adhesion, as well as a strong, yet moveable adhesive backing.
