6-14. Crispening Adjustment (4:3)

Preparation
. On the setting menu, set as follows.
PAGE : FUNCTION 1/2
ITEM : DETAIL
. OUTPUT/DCC switch (inside panel)
. Shoot a gray-scale chart (4:3) in the full underscan's
picture frame.
: 1 Lens IRIS
Setting point
: A = 100 ± 2 IRE (NTSC)
Spec.
A = 700 ±14 mV (PAL)
Adjustment procedure
Equipment : Black and white monitor
Test point : TEST OUT connector
1. On the setting menu, adjust as follows.
PAGE : LEVEL 1
ITEM : CRISPENING
Spec. : Reduce the noise on the screen to a
permissible level.

1. On the setting menu, adjust as follows.

Spec. : Eliminate the detail signal from portion
B.
Note
. After this adjustment, be sure to perform 6-16. H/V
Ratio Adjustment, and 6-17. Detail Level Adjustment, in
that order.
