    Before the computer is powered on after FRU replacement, make sure all screws, springs, and other small parts are in place and are not left loose inside the computer. Verify this by shaking the computer and listening for rattling sounds. Metallic parts or metal flakes can cause electrical shorts. DANGER Some standby batteries contain a small amount of nickel and cadmium.

If no master HDP is available, neither Lenovo nor Lenovo authorized service technicians provide any services to reset either the user or the master HDP, or to recover data from the hard disk drive.

If the computer you are servicing has the SIM card, remove it before you start the servicing.
