Chapter 6 SDIO WLAN Utility
This chapter explains how to use Socket's SDIO WLAN utility.
The utility allows you to do the following:
•
Turn wireless radio on/off
•
Remove status icon
•
View WLAN status
•
Configure network settings (Pocket PC 2002 only)
•
Configure advanced settings
•
View version information
For help with the utility, tap Start | Help.
The utility can be accessed by either of two methods:
•
Whenever the WLAN card is inserted into your Pocket PC, the
Socket status icon will appear in the menu bar of the Today screen.
Tap on the icon to access the pop-up menu.

If you removed the Socket status icon, you can
manually open the utility by tapping:
Start | Settings | System | SDIO Settings
Note: The Configuration option is disabled for PPC 2003, as basic WLAN
configuration is set through by Windows Mobile's Zero Configuration.
