Questions and answers
Base "X" flashes on the display.
1. The handset is out of range of the base station.

Move the handset closer to the base station.

You cannot hear a ringer/dialling tone from the fixed line network.
The phone cord supplied has not been used or has been replaced by a new cord with the wrong jack
pin connections.

When purchasing a new cord, ensure that it has the correct pin connections (page 15).
Error tone sounds after system PIN prompt.
You have entered the wrong system PIN.

Enter system PIN if required.

Carry out a reset on the base station to set the system PIN back to 0000 (page 104).
