If the failure occurs while opening the
top, do not attempt to open it
manually - contact the Maserati
Service Network.
If the failure occurs when the opening
procedure is already in progress, do
not attempt to complete the
procedure - re-close the top manually
according to the following
instructions. After cutting out the
pressure supply to the hydraulic circuit,
carry out the emergency procedure
starting from the point at which the
opening stage stopped, by turning the
key to the STOP for several seconds
and then to MAR.
WARNING In the case of a breakdown
of the hydraulic operation system,
contact the Maserati Service Network
directly. If that is not possible, close the
top manually and then contact the
Maserati Service Network to have the
system checked.
Before you start
During the emergency closing
procedure, the handbrake must be
engaged and the door windows
lowered.
Turn the ignition key to the STOP
position for several seconds to allow
the pressure in the hydraulic system to
be released and then turn the key to
MAR.
Take the flat-head screwdriver out of
the tool bag supplied with the car and
wrench B attached to the upper inside
part of the rear storage compartment.

Slide off the cover C, which is pressure-
fitted and protects pushbuttons 1 and
2. The pushbuttons have the following
functions:
1 – pushbutton for the electrical
locking of the top covering locks
2 – pushbutton for the electrical
locking of the retaining locks for the
top's rear pins.
WARNING Upon completion of the
emergency top closing procedure, refit
the pressure-fitted cover C to prevent
pushbuttons 1 and 2 from being
pressed unintentionally.
