3.2 Main memory
The system board supports up to 192 GB main memory. It offers 12 slots, each
of which can be fitted with 2 GB (single-ranked), 4 GB (dual-ranked), 8 GB
(dual-ranked) or 16 GB (quad-ranked) memory modules (DIMMs). The
minimum memory configuration is 1 DIMM in Independent Channel Mode.

The memory modules are organized in 3 channels with 2 slots each per
CPU.
Channels A-C are controlled by CPU 1, and channels D-F are controlled by
CPU 2.
x4 or x8 organized registered (RDIMMs) or unbuffered (UDIMMs) memory
modules with ECC are supported.
