Temperature and system monitoring
Sensor monitoring
If a temperature sensor is faulty or missing, this is detected. In this case, all the
fans for which this sensor has an input are driven at top speed to provide the
highest possible level of protection for the hardware.
Power monitoring
If the voltage exceeds or falls below the specified limit values, an alarm is
generated.
System Event Log (SEL)
All monitored events on the system board are signaled by the status indicator
(Global Error) and recorded in the System Event Log. You can check these in
the BIOS setup or using ServerView.
The events could be retrieved in the BIOS Setup, in the Management Blade
Web interface, via the iRMC S2's Web interface or via ServerView Operations
Manager.
Diagnostic LEDs
The system board contains LEDs to signal errors.
