Preparing for CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW
playback
• Prepare to play tracks from a CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW.
• For details on the files that can be played on this unit, see page 5.
NOTE
This section explains the operating procedures for CD-ROM/CD-R/
CD-RW discs that have been finalized as data CDs. For CDs that
have been finalized as music CDs, see "Preparing for CD playback"
(vpage 17).

CD
to switch the source to CD.

Insert a CD into the disc loading slot.
• The folder names and track names on the disc are shown in
the display.
• Files are in the selected state.

SEL.
Turn
to select the folder that contains the track
you want to play.

Press
SEL.
The folder names or track names within the folder are shown
in the display.

SEL.
Turn
to select the track you want to play.
BACK
• Press
to return to the previous folder.

SEL.
Press
The cue standby mode is set at the start of the selected tracks.
Preparation for playback
n Ejecting CDs
DISC 5
Press
.
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
NOTE
DISC 5
Be sure the CD is paused before ejecting. If
CD playback, the CD will not be ejected.
n If the CD cannot be ejected
If the CD is not ejected due to a malfunction in the unit even when
DISC 5
is pressed, it can be ejected using other buttons.
Hold down
SHIFT
, and press
CD
.
The CD is ejected from the disc loading slot.
