Running the Self Tests

Font Sample Test

To run the test:
Turn the printer
off, then press
LF
and hold the
LF
Micro Feed
Down
key while
GROUP
turning the
printer back on.
To stop the test before it
finishes:
SEL
Press .
SEL SEL
MENU

ASCII Test

To run the test:
Turn the printer
off, then press
and hold the
QUIET
key while
QUIET
TOF
turning the
printer back on.
To stop the test:
SEL
Press .
SEL SEL
MENU

Selecting an Emulation

Your printer has three emulations:
®
• Epson FX (ESC/P)
®
• IBM Proprinter III (PPSII) — factory setting
®
• OKIDATA MICROLINE
Changing Emulations
1. Make sure paper is loaded.
2. Press + : the printer enters the Menu Mode.
SHIFT SEL
3. Press : the following line prints:
LF
Printer Control
4. Press consecutively until the emulation you wish
TEAR
to select prints in the right-hand column.
5. Press + to save your setting and exit the
SHIFT SEL
Menu Mode.
