Locking the keypad
The keypad lock turns off the keypad functionality.
This is useful, for example, if your phone is turned on
and stored in your pocket, so that you avoid
accidental key presses.

To lock your keypad
•
From the
Now!
and then press

Do a short press on the
Lock
keypad.
The keypad is now locked.
Note:
You can still receive calls and make
emergency calls when the keypad is locked.
However, one key emergency dialling ('the 9
key') does not operate.

To unlock your keypad

Note:
Locking your keypad does not prevent
unauthorised use of the phone.
Locking your phone
Locking your phone helps to prevent access to
personal data. If you switch the phone lock function
on, your phone automatically locks after a specified
time of inactivity. You must enter your phone lock
pass code before you can use the phone again.
Note:
You can still receive calls and make
emergency calls when the phone is locked.

To set up phone lock defaults
1. From the
Menu
and press

Settings

2. Select Security, then
select
Lock code
code. You must input the existing lock code first,
then you will be asked to enter your new lock
code twice. Press

3. Select
Autolock period
(in minutes) after which the phone will
automatically lock itself, if no keys have been
pressed, or select
