To perform programmed recording:
1 Programme tracks (see page 16).
2 Press the button.
3 Press the ( ) button to start recording.
To stop recording:
Press the button.
Note:
If you use the remote control, make sure to press the SHIFT button
prior to pressing the button.

! Recording from the radio

Tune in to the desired station (see page 17).

Load a cassette into the cassette compartment with the
side to be recorded on facing you.
Wind past the leader of the tape, on which recording cannot be
performed.

Press the button.
Recording will be paused.

Press the ( ) button to start recording.
To stop recording:
Press the button.
To interrupt recording:
Press the button.
To resume recording, press the ( ) button.
Beat cancel
A whistling noise may occur when recording an AM station. Elimi-
nate the noise as follows:
1 Press the button to pause recording.
2 Press the button and select "TP REC A" or "TP REC B" for
better reception.
Notes:
" If you hear a whistling noise whilst recording an AM station, move
the AM loop aerial.
" If you use the remote control, make sure to press the SHIFT but-
ton prior to pressing the button.

! Erasing recorded tapes

1 Load the tape to be erased into the cassette compartment with
the side to be erased facing toward you.
2 Press the FUNCTION button until "TAPE" appears on the dis-
play.
When operating with the remote control, press the TAPE button.
3 Press the button.
4 Press the ( ) button to start erasing.
Note:
If you use the remote control, make sure to press the SHIFT button
prior to pressing the button.
