The following base station settings can
only be carried out using a registered
Gigaset A18H handset.
Protecting against unauthorized
access
Protect the system settings of the base sta-
tion with a PIN known only to you. The
system PIN must be entered when regis-
tering/de-registering a handset with/from
the base station.
Changing the system PIN
You can change the 4-digit system PIN set
on the base station (default setting: 0000)
to a 4-digit PIN known only to you.
Caution:
Do not forget the new system PIN! If you forget
it, you must reset your phone to the default
settings (see "Restoring the default settings"
on page 29).
