Advanced radio operations

Radio operations are described mainly with the remote
control.
You can alternatively use the corresponding button on
the main unit.

Setting preset stations automatically

Up to 30 stations can be set.
Preparation
To display the picture turn on the television and select
the appropriate video input to suit the connections to
this unit.

Press [TUNER] to switch the selector to "FM".

Press [6 5] to select the lowest frequency
(87.50 MHz).

Press [SUB MENU].

Press [3 4] to select "Auto Memory" and press
[ENTER].

Press [2 1] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER].
The tuner presets all the stations it can receive into
the channels in ascending order.
≥"Auto Memory Completed." is displayed when the
stations are set, and the radio tunes to the last
preset station.
≥"Memory setting failed." is displayed when
automatic preset is unsuccessful. Preset the
channels manually (➜ page 18).

Selecting the preset channels

Check that the radio stations are correctly set.
Press the numbered buttons to select the channel.
≥To select a 2-digit number
e.g. "12": [S10] ➜ [1] ➜ [2].

Using FM outdoor aerial (optional)

Use a television aerials (not included) if FM radio
reception is poor.
≥Disconnect the FM indoor aerial.
≥The aerial should be installed by a competent
technician.
≥Disconnect the aerial when the unit is not in use.
≥Do not use the outdoor aerial during an electrical
storm.

RDS broadcasting

The unit can display the text data transmitted by the
radio data system (RDS) available in some areas.
If the station you are listening to is transmitting RDS
signals, "RDS" will light up on the display.
