Depth setting
The required drilling depth X can be set using the
depth stop 4.

Release the additional handle 3 and insert the
depth stop 4 into the additional handle.
Extend the depth stop 4 until the distance between
the tip of the drill and the tip of the depth stop 3 cor-
responds to the required drilling depth X.

Mains cable

If the mains cable is damaged while
working, pull the mains plug immedi-
ately.
Fixed power supply
Fixed power supply
Damaged mains cables must not be used. They
must be replaced immediately by an expert techni-
cian.
Mains cable module
Mains cable module with Patent
Quick Interlock.
Connect the mains cable module 5 to the han-
dle. The plug must snap in.
Use the mains cable module 5 only for Kress
electric tools. Do not attempt to operate other ma-
chines with the module.
Damaged mains cable modules must not be used.
They must be replaced by a new Kress mains ca-
ble module immediately.
Push the two unlocking buttons VIII and remove
the mains cable module 5 from the handle.
Use only an original Kress mains cable module
and at least a heavy rubber tube cable (H07RN-F).

Sliding clutch

Always assume a safe standing position and hold
the power tool securely in both hands.
If the drill jams unexpectedly, the machine kicks
back.
If the tool insert becomes caught or is
jammed, the drive to the drill spindle
is interrupted.
Remove the load from the machine
immediately by retracting the drill
If the power tool jams, switch the
machine off and release the tool
insert.
When switching the machine on with
the drilling tool jammed, high reaction
torques can occur.
Operation
On-/off
Press or release the On/Off switch V. The On/Off
switch V can be locked using the locking button VI.
Release the On/Off switch V by pressing and re-
leasing briefly.
-NOTE-
At low outside temperatures: The tool requires a
minimum operating temperature before the ham-
mer action will work. Switch on the tool, place
briefly on the ground and run at idle speed.
Repeat until the percussion starts.
Select speed/impact rate (option)
In devices with a setting dial IV you can select the
speed using the setting dial IV depending on the
area of application.
Position "A" = lowest speed
Position "G" = highest speed
Changing the speed/impact rate
The On/Off switch V can be used for infinitely vari-
able speed control. Light pressure on the On/Off
switch V causes the machine to rotate slowly; with
increased pressure, the speed increases.
