Display messages Possible cause and Solutions
• Change the USB connection mode to "MSC" (see page 9).
CANNOT EDIT
CHANGE MSC
• You cannot edit to the connected USB device.
CANNOT EDIT
MTP DEVICE
• You cannot erase a track (The data may be corrupted.). Turn off, then turn on the power of the
CANNOT ERASE
system.
• The USB device is write-protected.
• You cannot make a group (The data may be corrupted.). Turn off, then turn on the power of the
CANNOT FORM
system.
GROUP
• You cannot move a track (The data may be corrupted.). Turn off, then turn on the power of the
CANNOT MOVE
system.
• The USB device is write protected.
• The file is unplayable.
CANNOT PLAY
• While in Random Play or Group Random Play, you cannot move tracks between built-in memory
CANNOT REC
and USB device.
• You cannot record tracks from an iPod to a USB device.
• Change the USB connection mode to "MSC" (see page 9).
CANNOT REC
CHANGE MSC
• You cannot record to the connected USB device.
CANNOT REC
MTP DEVICE
• You cannot record tracks using "REC SPEED HIGH." Select "REC SPEED NORMAL" (see

page 22).
NORMAL ONLY
• You cannot edit the title of a track (The data may be corrupted.). Turn off, then turn on the power

• The built-in memory or the USB device is full.
DATA FULL
• The USB device is write-protected.
