1. Getting Started Introduction Thank you for purchasing the Avision 4-in-1 MFP product. This product is Avision’s latest innovation which integrates scan, copy, print, and fax functions into one unit which support document up to A3 size. In addition, through the network port at the back of the machine, the product is able to work as a network printer.

Net Scanning: When the product is connected to a intranet environment, the product is able to scan and save documents to the built-in memory card and also allow a network user to remotely receive the scanned images via a network utility.

Connecting to a telephone Connect a telephone to the machine to use the fax line as a normal telephone line. Paper Orientation Place your A4 or LTR paper vertically on the glass with the text facing down and align it with the A4 or LTR marks. Special Copy Features Using the Book Mode This mode enables you to copy the facing pages in a book or a magazine to separate sheets of paper. Setting the timeout period for a netscan image To effectively manage the scanned images by netscan, a timeout period is provided for each image. To set the timeout period, Press the Menu button. Press the Right-arrow or the Left-arrow button until “6. Net Scan Set” appears on the display.
Make sure you have completed installing the MFP’s driver on your computer since the NetScan program is part of the driver. Open the NetScan program by choosing Start>All Programs>AM7100NF>NetScan. Accessing the PC-Fax Properties This PC-Fax Properties dialog box consists of several tabbed window which allows you to customize your fax settings and create your phone book. The General Setting Tab The General Setting tab allows you to choose your output paper size, your desired fax resolution, and your desired density level.
The Address Setting Tab The Address Setting tab allows you to enter your fax number or select your desired fax numbers from current address book of your Windows system. Fax number: Enter your recipient’s fax number. You may click the Option Settings button to enter more information including company, department, and name of your recipient.
The Sending Options Tab The Sending Options tab allows you to set more options such as delay fax, or fax message. The Sender Information Tab The Sender Information tab allows you to enter the sender’s information which will be included as cover page. The sender’s information include company name, department name, recipient’s name, telephone number and fax number.

9. Maintenance Cleaning The Glass The product is designed to be almost maintenance-free. However, it still needs to be cleaned occasionally to ensure optimum image quality and performance. To clean the glass, Open the document cover as shown below. Dip a soft clean cloth with isopropyl alcohol (95%). Gently wipe the flatbed glass and the white sheet beneath the document cover to remove the dust or any toner particles.
Cleaning the ADF From time to time the pad assembly and feeding rollers may become contaminated with ink, toner particles or paper dust. In this case the product may not feed documents smoothly. If this occurs please follow the cleaning procedures to return your machine to its original state.
Clearing the ADF Paper Jam In the event of a paper jam in the ADF, follow the procedures below to remove the paper: Gently open the ADF front cover to the left. Carefully pull the paper out of the ADF unit. Close the ADF front cover.
Replacing the Snap-in Pad Module After scanning many and many pages through the ADF, the pad may be worn out and you may experience problems with document feeding. In this case, it is highly recommended to replace the pad module with a new one. For ordering the pad module, please consult your nearest dealer and follow the procedure below to replace it.

Enabling the Backup Function This product allows you to save all the printing or copying jobs in a computer which is connected to this product via a USB cable.
