4. Using the menu

Your phone offers a wide range of
functions that are grouped in menus.
Most of the menu functions are
provided with a brief help text. To
view the help text, scroll to the
desired menu function and wait for
about 15 seconds. To exit the help
text, press Back.
The help text can be set to on or off
using the
Help text activation
function in the
Phone settings
see page 46.
■ Accessing a menu
function
By scrolling
1. Press
Menu
in standby mode.
2. Press
down, up, left or right
to scroll to a main menu, for
example Settings, and press
Select
to open it.
When the menu view is List, you
can press
to scroll up or down
through the main menus. To
change the menu view, see
view
in
"Display settings"

3. Scroll to a submenu, for example
Call
settings, and press Select.
If the submenu contains further
submenus, for example
dialling, repeat this step.
4. Scroll to a setting option, for
example Off, and press Select.

Back
to return to the
previous menu level, and
exit to standby mode.
By using a shortcut number
The menus, submenus and setting
options are numbered. This shortcut
number is shown at the top right of
the display.
Press
Menu
in standby mode. Within
two seconds, key in the shortcut
number of the main menu that you
want to open. Repeat this for the
submenu and setting option.
